Not to mention it’s being packaged alongside 2033 Redux which, as I said before, is one of the best remakes of the year. As far as remakes go, it doesn’t offer a whole lot of new content or options. However, if you HAVE played Last Light before, getting Last Light Redux is a bit more of a complicated question. Some of the textures arent great, though most are either 2048 x 2048 or 1024 x 1024 which is very nice. If you haven’t played it before, then this is easily the most definitive version. The game was originally released in 2013, but just a year later 4A Games (the developer behind the franchise) released a Redux version which features both Last Light as well as Metro 2033, which debuted in 2010. Metro 2033 Reduxs graphics look identical to Last Light. Metro: Last Light is an awesome game and the game hasn’t stopped being awesome. Also, you can start the game with an auto-shotgun, and yes that does sound broken but it’s also a ton of fun. So if you haven’t purchased the DLC yet you might as well get the Redux version.
Last Light might not be particularly worth 12. If you already own both original versions you can get both Reduxes for only $25 dollars, or each individual for $12.50. Metro: Last Light immerses the player in the haunting, desolate ruins of post-apocalyptic Moscow, and delivers terrifying, atmospheric single-player adventure that fuses thrilling combat with. For one, it’s cheap, especially if you already own the original Last Light. There are a couple benefits to getting Redux.
